Q: Is Vital Ear right for me?

Q: What if it doesn't fit me?
A: Vital Ear was designed to fit most ears - both big and small. Our devices come with various sized tips to ensure the best fit possible. If you are unable to find a tip that fits comfortably in your ear, please contact us for alternative solutions or simply return your device within 30 days of receiving it for a full refund.
Q: What is included in the Vital Ear package?
A: All of our hearing aids come with a user manual that clearly explains all features, a padded & secure storage case to place your device when not in use, a 6-month supply of batteries, cleaning tools to keep your Vital Ear in proper working condition, and multiple size ear tips to ensure a comfortable fit.
Q: Why don't I need a medical evaluation or audiogram to purchase this product?
A: Vital Ear uses the same core technology as much more expensive, traditional, custom-programmed devices, but are programmed using an innovative, universal hearing algorithm that addresses the most common hearing difficulties, making sounds easier to hear for the vast majority of people with hearing issues, in a variety of hearing environments.
Q: What is your innovative QuickFit programming technology?
A: All Vital Ear devices come equipped with our exclusive QuickFit programming feature. In essence, this feature replaces an audiologist in the hearing aid fitting process and gives YOU the freedom and control to customize your hearing experience. Our devices feature 4 unique pre-set hearing programs, giving you the ability to hear comfortably and confidently in nearly any situation.
Q: Will Vital Ear help me hear in different listening environments?
A: Yes, in addition to our QuikFit technology that allows you to choose your primary device settings, Vital Ear also features flexible daily-use controls. Vital Ear has multiple program settings and an on-device volume control that will allow you to hear comfortably and confidently in environments ranging from noisy restaurants to quiet walks on the beach and anything in between.
Q: Can I wear glasses with my Vital Ear hearing aid?
A: Yes, you sure can. It is quite common for our users to wear both glasses and hearing aids, so we made sure to find a hearing aid design that comfortably accommodates eyeglasses.
Q: How can you offer these products at such affordable rates?
A: We pride ourselves on being able to provide high-quality hearing aids at affordable prices and have worked hard to develop key business partnerships that allow us to do that. Rather than working with middlemen, like wholesalers, distributors or hearing clinics, our team of engineers works directly with our manufacturing partner to keep the quality of Vital Ear high and the cost of Vital Ear low.
Q: What type of batteries does Vital Ear use?
A: Vital Ear uses size 312 batteries.
Q: How long do the batteries last?
A: Several factors affect battery life, including average hours used during the day and the noise level of the environment. An average battery typically lasts 1 - 2 weeks.
Q: Because the devices are so small, is it difficult to change settings/volume?
A: The devices are indeed small, but they were designed with usability in mind. Each device comes with a user manual clearly explaining how to adjust the settings & volume using the on-device controls.
Q: Do the devices come with instructions?
A: Yes, each Vital Ear device comes with a User Manual and Quick Start Guide that clearly explains all features.
Q: What is the return policy?
A: All devices come with a 30-Day Free trial period. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, call us within 30 days of receiving your order to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA), and instructions on how to return your device.
Q: What is the shipping policy?
A: To initiate the Vital Ear 30-Day Free Trial, we charge a small Shipping & Handling fee of $6.95. Orders leave our warehouse within 1-2 days of placing an order and arrive at your door within 4-6 days of placing an order. If you choose to return your device at the end of the 30-Day Free Trial period, we will happily refund the $6.95 Shipping & Handling fee. A $6.95 fee will also be added to any accessory order $99 and under.
Q: How often does my device need to be serviced?
A: Vital Ear devices are built to last. If the device is handled with care and cleaned regularly, there shouldn't be a need for servicing the unit within the first 2 years. Earwax and moisture are the most common causes of problems in hearing aids, so we recommend cleaning the device regularly (ideally daily, but at least once per week), and occasionally replacing your ear tubes and ear tips.
